About Sababa with Shana

Mondays 4:00-5:30 PM

Sababa with Shana is a creative, multisensory Jewish & Hebrew class for children ages 4-5.

In this joyful, 90-minute drop-off class, children explore Jewish life and Hebrew through music, art, movement, storytelling, letter learning, and hands-on fun.

Led by educator Shana Fruchter, this small-group, multisensory experience helps children build a positive connection to Jewish tradition while learning Hebrew letters and words in playful, age-appropriate ways.

…Because Jewish learning should be meaningful, playful, and totally Sababa (awesome)!

Each week, your child will:

  • Create: hands-on art projects

  • Sing Hebrew and English songs that bring Jewish stories to life

  • Move with playful dances and games

  • Connect with friends in a warm, welcoming community

Whether you speak Hebrew fluently or are just learning “shalom,” this is a space where everyone belongs.

**Must be potty-trained!

About Shana Fruchter

Shana Fruchter embraces a multitude of roles, infusing each with passion and creativity! She holds a Master’s degree in Music Therapy and has dedicated 20 years to enriching Jewish education with joy and meaning.

Shana has spent the last two decades teaching Hebrew school and is currently serving in her second year as an Education Director at a Hebrew School in Queens, NY.

Recognizing the absence of engaging Jewish programs for children under 5, Shana established Sababa with Shana to address this need- creating a fun, imaginative, and meaningful environment for young ones to embark on their Jewish journey.

Shana is a PJ library parent connector and organizes meetups for Jewish families to get together in the neighborhood! She conducts cherished music and movement classes for babies, toddlers, and their caregivers, weaving together rhythm, storytelling, and connection (@musicwithshana).
